Overview
Bridging Voices Across Borders
VosynVerse connects people to content and communication across the globe, powered by real-time AI localization. A language and voice systhesis platform.
My Role
My role was to make B2C platform intuitive, enhance user experience and make it user friendly by seamlessly integrating AI technology into user experience. I worked on the following features: Homescreen customisation and Audio/ Video translation portals, AI enhanced search and Content Consumption Filters.
What are we solving?
From the usability studies we conducted with 3 participants, we encountered the following 4 pain points:

Why do I see the same thing?
Content echo-chamber
How can we prevent users from encountering repetitive or similar content?
Rigid search results
How can we make the search results dynamic and give the users power to change?
Customizing search results
How can we empower users to customise the search results and choose their path?
Filter results
How can we design an intuitive and user-friendly filtering system for search results?

Updated Homescreen
-
Optimised the filter categories.
-
Created an efficient AI search user flow.
-
A new shuffle feature for content introduced
New AI Enhanced Search
-
AI summary and algorithm customisation added.
-
"Trace my footprint"- a new monthly AI generated interactive summary introduced.
-
Optimised layout and content cards
-
New "Filter" CTA added.

Audio Translation & Consumption Screen
-
"Contextual Info", AI powered real time conversational chat introduced.
-
Dynamic interactions for "Compare" feature for AI generated transcripts/lyrics.
-
Clear and intuitive body copy for the translation portal component.
-
Feedback & Flagging feature added.
How did we solve this?
Yes! We researched, brainstormed, collaborated, ideated and iterated on feedback. We designed solutions based on insights and created new intuitive user flows with enhanced interactions with small yet impactful changes.
How might we prevent echo-chamber?

A new "Shuffle" content feature
To reduce the echo chamber and to empower the users to explore new content

Shuffle filters
Category-based shuffling allows users to explore content while minimizing repetitive recommendations
How might we make content search easy to use?

Tabular categories
Provides quick access to content based on format and to simplify navigation
How might we make AI enhanced search dynamic and engaging?
Solution 01:
Dynamic search results powered by AI in real time user types the input

Search results in real time
AI shows search results dynamically as the user types the input in the search box
Dynamic search results overlay screen
Solution 02:
Path mechanism- users can choose what the direction of their results

Visibility of System Status
Added headings to categorise results
Magic Search assist
Empowered users to customise search algorithms, aligning results with their specific goals and interests.
Users could choose from 3 paths.
Search Results Screen
Solution 03:
AI generated summary of users activity on the platform

Trace My Footprint
AI generated user activity summary of the platform in an interactive card based layout with "share" CTA
Interactive summary cards
How can we design an intuitive and user-friendly filtering system for search results?

Standard card layout
To simplify user experience, standard layout is used for UI instead of Bento-Box as on the homescreen

Filter search results
Users can use the "Filter" button to refine their search results based on categories.
Facets/ Filter Chips
To avoid errors and make the users aware of system status and their chosen categories, chips were added with an ability to remove on hover and dynamically change search results.

Filter categories
Intuitive categories based on user research and analysis of content consumption platforms.

Filter button and category dropdowns
What I learned
-
This project reinforced the importance of iteration. Initial concepts often needed refining based on user feedback and testing. Embracing an iterative approach allowed for continuous improvement, ensuring the final design was both user-friendly and impactful.
What I'd do if I had more time
-
I would run more rounds of usability tests to gain understanding of which features work and what can be further enhanced,
-
I’d like to further explore and enhance the AI-powered summary tool and work on how search history could be integrated for quick access.
